BJP or Congress? Either or neither?

and personally…i dont give ■■■■ about gandhi/nehru parivar…so feel free to express yourself…(as a matter of fact, i might join in as well)

~Sucharita:
" I too have been a practising Hindu my whole life. Its a tragedy that Feb 2002 made me, my mother and grandparents feel ashamed of that identity"

Sucharita, were/are you so much ignorant of the misdeeds of the past perpetrated by the religion in question?

Sucharita, my mother is Christian, my father hindu and they gave me a muslim sounding name. I was brought up without any affiliation towards any religion and I have read most the books/scriptures that people of diffrent religions respect and revere :

  • Bible
  • Ramayana (including non-interpreted versions)
  • Mahabharata
  • Vedas
  • Quran/Koran
  • Zend Avesta (The Law and Commentaries) - Zoroastrianism
  • Kojiki (Records of Ancient Writings) - Xintoism
  • Guru Granth - Sikhism
  • Siddhanta - Jainism
  • Tripitaka - Budhism
I think that my non-affiliation to any of the religions, and being a total atheist and rationalist, helped me to get a deeper insight into the beliefs dear to the followers of various religions. It also helped me to learn and respect the beliefs of others as well as criticize the parts of them without being biased towards any one religion.

Finally, it taught me a lot of things that I could adopt in my own personal life to make my life easier, smoother and happier.

~akashbansal:
“why did the murder of 34 hindus by christians in Kerala last year go relatively unreported?”

Why did you not mention the massacre of innocent muslim children by the RSS in a place called Marad in Kerala?

Since I have been living in this small state for nearly a decade, I know about the most of the happenings in this small state where there are less things happening at any time. But will you please be kind enough to let me know the details of the statistics that you have pointed out above?

~adides:
“i am so happy bout uma bharti she is such a whore…she should be gang-raped and paraded nude throughout the city for the religious hatred that she has imparted all these years…”

Is that a solution that you are proposing?
Such proposals by itself, leave the actions, will propagate fast enough into the public psyche where it will be used against some other innocent woman or girl just for the single reason that she is a muslim or a dalit. Adides, an eye for an eye will make the world blind.

“the best/worst thing that is happening is vajpayee (whom i have utmost respect for)”

I lost the respect for your revered leader in 2002 when he declared, " I am the advocate of Modi." I am sorry Adides that I forgot the date on which he had said this, but I read it in Indian Express and Hindu newspaper. I will get you the dates if I find them, because I usually keep track/record of newspaper articles.

======================================

SHABIN

======================================

But turning the other cheek on getting slapped will encourage oppression, whether of the minority or the majority. India is probably the only country in the world where minorities can fight and ask for their rights. Had it been Israel, for example, all Mulsims and Christians would’ve been long butchered and thrown out. Think about it. Who is getting oppressed?

SHABIN- right now I am definitely NOT a Hindu…I flirted with a whole lot of religions for around two years…I was an agnostic for a brief spell after that…now I just stick to a kind of non demanding personal faith :)

wow that’s virtually me sucrita

And yeah, most of us who tested on that religion got universal unitarianism :p

I’m 43% Hindu and 36% Catholic … if that makes any sense.
Actually I’m a follower of Vaibhavism, if you get what I mean.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1085819.cms</a> :D

Shabin: Is that a solution that you are proposing?
Adi: No! it is just my way of getting on akashbansal’s nerves (he is our saffron brigadier) :stuck_out_tongue:
if i were to suggest solutions, it’d be more in the line with

  • banning religious propoganda 12-18 months before elections (which is when they usually do it)
  • min. education requirement to be a minister; full disclosure of minister’s personal/family property and income on public website
  • capping their expense account depending on the productivity of their ministry (dont ask me on how to measure productivity)
  • strict office hours requirements
  • accountability for lawlessness under the minister’s jurisdiction (so that lalu needs to provide a report on why the kidnapping incidents have not gone down or modi on why the riots were not controlled)
and the list can go on and on…

my solution-

compulsory military conscription for atleast 2 years before one is allowed to run for public office.
fu{c}king b@stards need some fu{c}kKing discipline. oh how i’d like to personally tear their balls off.
uma bharti needs to spend some time in tihar jail according to me. w/ the dendophilliacs and other perverted beastialty offenders.

and that cop in bombay needs deserves a pub[l]ic castration.

still getting over jet-lag. am in a nasty mood.

and yea, I LOVE EVERTON!!!screw you ManU!!!

more insights…

Time To Give Either Of The Parties A Full Majority So That Theres No Need For Parties Like The Left.

This thread has reemerged!!! thanks, uncrushable!!!
If any of the parties is given a full majority, i think there can be some bad things happening, like bjp can do anythig that comes into their minds (yea, i know MINDS? do they have one??)
but it can be good, the gov. can have a freedom of doing anything, good or BAD!!

i think he meant the death of coalations and the government having a decent majority, unlike the precarious situations that exist today

Calling Akash and Cops (and other saffron brigadiers or otherwise out there)

for a civilized discussion on the state of the whole Advani-Jinnah-RSS issue.

Do you guys think that it is

A. a political tactic by Advani to win electorate
B. an honest expression of himself for a change
C. a stab in the back to those faithful to the Hindutva cause
D. a tactic to reduce the influence of RSS-VHP on how BJP functions
E. a mistake

f.none of the above

Hes experiencing the side-effects of old-age(becoming senile);)

so u support his resignation under the “senile” effect??

akash, we have discussed the gujarat riots before and you have explicitly mentioned that you have never and will never support that kind of violence.

would you continue to support BJP if Narendra Modi was made the President of the party?

btw - i overtook you in postcounts…finally…

No I dont. But Atleast he stands by his principles unlike some other we all too well know ;)

and yes-I wud certainly support Modi as president of the party…

as for the postcounts-I dont think i care any longer…do u?:p

I am kinda bored, I am starting a new religion who else wants to join

Name : Soccer or summer vacation or w/e

Policy : none

Names of Gods : nomad ( what? ), Maaza, Computers I guesss ( suggestions are welcome), Batman ?

Villains : your choice ! I choose Bin Laden but you have a choice!

Policy Towards life after death : Will write after death

as i said before I am bored :)

isnt evryone?? :p

heh so you intrested ? :p

he withdrew his resignation. i respect him a lot less for that
