The fact they found no drugs makes me wonder if there was a bunch of disposing before calling 911 or while waiting for them to arrive. Imagine having to go there during that kind of crisis…

Given this tragic situation, I can’t help but think that some people don’t really have a chance in the world, despite all the material advantages. The older I get, the less credit I give to free will.

The awful comment by Dr. Drew Pinsky yesterday, which I won’t repeat, alluded to the fact that he thought it had better be drugs, or words to that effect. It was pretty insensitive.
That she had or has drug issues is not a secret. And, he is an addiction specialist. Police say it was reported as a drowning.
Thanks, @NYMomof2. She was almost 14, so for a lab, that’s a pretty good run. But we all still miss her.
Sad, can only hope and pray the poor kid can pull through. Like Oldfort’s child, my S attended the same school as Bobbi Kristina (she was a couple of years ahead of him), and I can remember in the papers and such that the parents had problems, and that reputedly that the girl had had some issues at the school from what other parents said(I can’t confirm that), but given the circumstances it sounds like it was no ball of fun for her. When I read about things like this, I think about how in reality the sins of the parents do come back on the kids, and I feel very, very sorry for the daughter, she was the real victim of all this.
I’m confused…how could she be “face down” in a bathtub w/o drugs or alcohol? Do they think she fell??? Do they think she was held down by someone?
It makes no sense to me either, Mom2collegekids. It’s not easy to drown yourself in a bathtub even if you want to do so without incapacitating yourself first. Perhaps she had seizure problems, cataplexy, … I think at this time, there isn’t enough certainty of anything and the focus is in hoping that she survives, stabilizes, or dies. Then, the layers of questions can start being peeled away and investigated.
There are only three possibilities and they probably already know, but aren’t saying.
Why not show a bit of sensitivity during this difficult time. Sure there are strong possibilities, that go without say, but speculation and tabloid gossip is insensitive. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand why they interviewed Drew Pinsky, and yes her past history, well at least some of it, has been public. I will be happy to post updates from reliable news sources as they are shared.
Not finding drugs in the room doesn’t mean much. Weren’t there allegations that drugs had been removed from her mother’s room? I’ll be shocked if drugs were not involved.

ETA: my D1 had a stupid bathtub accident once where she slipped getting in and hit her head on the built in ceramic soap dish. Luckily, she was in a hotel on a school trip and there were people right there to help her. No one should suggest drugs unless they know something for sure. Freak accidents are always possible.
They are saying she is surrounded by “immediate family”, but they aren’t saying who that is. They are also saying they won’t know the exact degree of brain damage until and if they are able to lighten the medically induced coma.
Something pretty bad happened to BK. She wasn’t merely knocked unconscious by a fall, she required CPR, which means she had no pulse and wasn’t breathing. I just hope she wasn’t down too long. Merely “almost brain dead” would still be a horrific outcome.
The family has reportedly been told to “be prepared for the worst”. It has been reported that in addition to the fight that reportedly brought the police Jan 23, Nick has been staying elsewhere the past few days prior to the incident. But he is the one, with a friend, who found her and was administering CPR until the medics arrived. She is described as having no pulse when they arrived.
