<p>Regardless of whether suspect does or does not have explosives on him, it is not unreasonable for officers to do what is needed to keep public safe, especially as the suspects threw IEDs and had grenades and other weapons. It is still needed for public safety to do what is needed for safety.</p>
<p>It’s not necessary for officers to be omniscient and guess right to use minimal force when so much harm and danger has already been connected with this suspect.</p>

<p>We are all enjoying the Boston accents :-). I heard them say he was a lot further away from last night’s altercation than law enforcement suspected. That may be why they didn’t check this particular area (though I heard other reports that they HAD checked the area earlier in the day). Who knows! </p>

<p>They are saying on 7News out of Boston that there is a 40 gallon gas tank on the boat that may be full, so they don’t want him to blow it up and they don’t want to accidentally shoot the gas tank either.</p>
<p>They are also reporting that he is still alive.</p>

<p>Yes, they have hostage negotiators, even tho they say there are no hostages. It would be to try to get suspect to surrender.</p>
