Even though admissions is a separate entity, I wonder if all of the commotion with schools suspending classes/campus activities in an attempt to prevent the coronavirus from spreading, if this could impact when we get decisions. I suppose it could go either way…make them get decisions out sooner if they think they will have to work remotely, or later because they have had distractions.
i am thinking sooner…because they may be closed for a while …and we need to choose by 5/1

they wouldn’t because students need to deposit… and EA schools are all out…they need to protect yield.
BC hasn’t made any changes yet with the exception of a few professors that are in the higher risk categories that moved their classes to on-line. We also just got back from Spring break yesterday.
I know eagle for a day was still running yesterday. One on one with student host.
I really hope they keep all of the accepted students events scheduled!
Don’t want to create unnecessary anxiety. But there’s some twitter activity and reports from students that they are going to follow Harvard’s decision to online. Announcement as early as tomorrow.
There was one professor that had decided to move his/her classes online and the email went viral. Then the student community took that to mean they were all going on line. The Heights newspaper said the rumor was false and the University had not made that decision yet. But maybe it’s coming, not sure. They confirmed that there have been ZERO cases of the virus on campus.
@collegemomjam that’s good to know. Thanks. I heard that as well. My source was a student reporter but things are moving quickly. I do know that father leahy was in some long meetings this evening.

Does not receiving an email regarding the time and day of decision mean anything? I haven’t gotten anything of the sorts from BU. In the past was there a correlation?
I think we were all expecting an email this week telling us when we will get the decisions NEXT week. We did NOT get our email yet either. I’m not sure that anyone has yet. Maybe it will come today?
I think it’s possible there will be a delay in our receiving the emails, especially as more and more schools in Boston are switching to online classes only.
Confirming the info last night. As of now BC is business as usual with some classes moving online per individual professors.
Admissions decisions should be ok.
I can say that they still were reviewing individual student files on Monday. So the work and decisions are continuing as usual.
BC just cancelled all regular classes for rest of semester. Moving to all online instruction starting next Thursday. And all students were asked to move out of their dorms by this Sunday.
