@Solstice155 Thanks for your advice and kind words. I think I will stay on the waitlist for now. It has definitely been a rough day but thankfully I have lots of time to heal privately.
I think I read a previous post that said any BC merit scholarship offers will arrive by snail mail. Can anyone confirm as there is no information on the Agora portal?
@crash71 The only merit scholarship offered by BC is the Gabelli Presidential (15 students, involves interview by invitation).
My son was accepted to BC’s Business School. white male; Catholic HS in CT; third in class; SAT 1510, GPA 4.5/5.0, Honors/AP track; Summa Scholar (top 5% of all seniors in all catholic high schools in CT); lots of church/community involvement and school club/politics/athletics. Seems like all his friends with mid 1400 SAT scores got defered! Crazy!

Son got denied. SAT 1490, 3.56/4.05 GPA, Eagle scout, Social Entrepreneur, 350+ community service, nice essays. BC was not his first choice so he will now focus on the admits that he has.
@Wildkat2024 , where was BC in your choice ranking? Too bad, since you got very solid scores but wonderful other schools to choose from.
@bbfan1927 It’s my daughter - and BC was definitely in the mix, she wants to go out of state as well, but she knows she’s lucky with her other choices. California schools are tough admits for instate (go figure). Just got a Georgetown SFS rejection as well. Boo.

@belovedbytoni toni
wow- great stats…certainly better than some who got in…I feel your pain.
Good luck.
BC is getting harder to get in to. Accepted 24% of Class of 2024 Applicants
https://bcheights.com/2020/03/24/admissions-decisions-class-of-2024/
Rough estimates/guesses:
EDI 1750 applied 575 accepted 33%
EDII 1025 applied 350 accepted 34%
RD 26625 applied 6125 accepted 23%
TTL 29400 applied 7050 accepted 24%
The enrollment yield should also shoot up to around 33% compared to 24% for 2023.
I think there were a few hundred more accepted ea and Ed. Roughly half the class.
RD will be in the teens unless they accepted a few more because of the virus.
My guesstimates are close to yours so this is all splitting hairs. But my initial read ore virus would be around 18 percent rd and a total rate around 20 21 percent. Yield going way up with half already accounted for Ed.
Do you have any updates stats or a link. Love to see those if available.
My DD was waitlisted for MCAS, International studies.

I’ve appreciated your insight into BC during this application season and wondered if you had any guesses about the WL movement this year. I saw that you mentioned the 1000 international students, and wondered if fewer might commit this year with so many unknowns? Just trying to help her make decisions about the WL. Thanks!
The international contingent is for the whole school across the four classes. However, it definately will have an impact. Everywhere.
Your daughter sounds like a complete rock star!
That’s a profile I would have said is exactly the right mixture.
Plus being from the west and the dancing. So fantastic.
She and you should both be very proud of her achievements.
I would certainly say yes to the WL. It’s perfect match for her.
I’ll dm you in the messages area with specific ideas after I finish up with my day job - the market just closed and have to finish some things.
