That is a very competitive application for BC. I’m a BC grad who knows tons of kids there and her stats are up there with almost all of the kids I know. 4 hour count down. We are rooting for you.

According to SCIOR data at my daughter’s all girls independent school. Average GPA was 94 and average SAT was 1440 at BC and we have had a 30% acceptance rate(BC does like private school kids). And at our school girls who applied with those averages had excellent results. I know there are tons of other factors but I just wanted to give you some positive thoughts based on data.

Thank you! Regardless of what happens, she has done everything within her power and we are super proud of who she is as a person; even more than her stats. In our opinion, she is a fantastic match for the culture of service at BC. It’s just a matter or whether or not it conveyed. We visited over the summer; then in October, she did eagle for a day, eagle for a discussion, etc. I know demonstrated interest isn’t something they consider, but I hope it’s something they at least see. Thanks for the encouragement.

FWIW, your response alone tells me that she likely was able to convey the “culture of service” at BC and that is very important. BC really is a unique community and they are looking for community members who are active, engaged and care about the world around them. The Jesuit motto of “A Man/Woman for Others” is deeply engrained in the culture(I went to a Jesuit HS and BC but am Catholic in baptism only). Demonstrated interest may not be on the CDS report but it is certainly tracked and highly important. I asked out regional AO if demonstrated interested was important and he gave the technical response while non verbally communicating the opposite. Again best of luck.
I forget but is your daughter one of the Gabelli scholarship finalists? If so good luck to her! Tremendous achievement.
