Boston Transfer Thread Fall 2015

Anybody know if the $650 enrollment deposit is refundable before June 1?

@mislysBB I am sorry for all the hassles that you’d have to go through… But it seems to me that the silver lining is getting bigger  Try not to worry too much okay! Sooner or later, I hope you’ll get in.

Does anyone know where do transfer students normally live? Which residence building is the most popular among transfer students?

@jonjacobjinkle The deposit is not refundable once you paid.

Is anyone on here still waitlisted? I’ve got a friend who is wanting to know.

So, I just contacted BU and they told me that my decision will be released tomorrow.
Here comes the anxiety and stress :((

I got in! Just waiting on financial aid now. The school I’m transferring in from nominated me for a full tuition scholarship. If I get it, I really hope they allow more for room and board. Are they joking with this $650 deposit by June 19? Yes must be a joke. Tufts has given me a massive financial aid package, it’s down to these two schools now.

AHHH I got accepted today!

@mislysBB CONGRATULATIONS!!! Worth the wait isn’t it?

@xonnaux Yep, it certainly is. Now I am just waiting on my financial aid package

Got accepted this morning

Does anyone get transfer credits report? My evaluation for Fall 2014 is still processing.
Signing-up BU Email? Schedule orientation date?

does anyone know about the orientation? It says its required and its looking like ill be forced to go to boston just for that. Anybody know if there is an online orientation ?

@jonjacobjinkle It is required and if you’re an international student, the session on Aug 29 is mandatory.

@xonnaux thanks. I’m not international but a plane tickets in the summer though $$$$$. Also would you happen to know whats up with Wednesday? like are we required to be there?

@jonjacobjinkle Hmm… I think it is expected but not required. They give us until 5 pm to arrive and check in and join them at 7 pm for the city excursion. There isn’t much going on until the next day. I guess you’ll be just fine if you can’t make it on Wednesday.

hi guys! i just found out i will be able to attend as a junior transfer. I’m wondering if there are any transfers who are going to do greek life at BU? at my school transfers can live in greek affinities or housing to meet people and I’m trying to find info on housing so I’m not housed with freshmen. any info would be appreciated!

@transfer099 as far as I know, BU has no Greek-specific housing. But since you are a junior, you have a better chance of getting the type of housing that you want. 99% of most freshmen are housed in the Warren towers anyways.

@mislysBB thank you! I definitely am concerned about meeting people so I’m just trying to figure out if most transfers live in one dorm/are housed together or what most people are doing in terms of the living situation

@mislysBB Hey, do you know which residence do transfer students normally or mostly go to?
