Yeah this is my 4th wait-list. I’m only accepted into one school. I genuinely don’t understand. 4.0 uw, 4.92 w, 34 ACT, Valedictorian, Good ECs & LORs

Is it strange my daughter has no decision in her portal?

“Decisions are being released throughout the day.” per admissions posting.

DS accepted with 25k scholarship (was NMF). 3.9 UW, 1540, highest rigor our school offers, good activities and essays but maybe light on community service. Really wanted honors but didn’t get it.

wait how do you check if you get the scholarship or not? I wrote a huge essay for the trustee scholarship but I have no idea if I got it or not.

yes, we know someone who did that

OMGG congrats! How were you notified?

4.0, 4.9+, valedictorian, 1580+, National Merit Scholar, varsity athlete, four leadership roles, medical research, hospital volunteering, shadowing etc

…… and WAITLISTED

As a parent, this is very disappointing and my kid’s dream school was Boston, couldn’t do ED because of zero financial aid situation.

Would be great if the universities give some honest feedback and rationale behind their decision. They are playing with young kids’ minds.

it’ll all work out as it should. my first kid got into none of his top choices and turned out having the best four years (graduating in a couple months). he wound up where he was destined to be and so will your kid. :+1:t3:

Holy cow! Sorry about the WL. Your child is obviously a great candidate and will thrive wherever. But I know it’s disappointing.

This morning was our 4th straight waitlist.

When alls said and done I’ll be curious if this is a screwy year or if this really is just how we run this particular railroad.

It’s one of the craziest admissions seasons our school counselor has ever seen. She said it’s ridiculous how many kids were waitlisted, rejected when they clearly shouldn’t have been. She’s at a loss for what happened this year. It’s one hell of a year and fasfa just threw a wrench into everything.
