Because schools accept many more than they actually enroll. They likely accepted 8800 or so based on that 11% acceptance.

How do we access our financial aid awards? I am between two schools but waiting to see how much aid BU will give me.
My daughter would like to commit for Fall 2024. Are parents concerned with the current strikes on campus and the impact on undergraduate classes and tuition?
I think the strikes should be resolved by the time our kids are on campus. As for tuition impact, who knows, but it seems that the tuition is already on top of the range of many colleges out thereā¦.
Question - have your accepted students received any envelope in the mail with the official acceptance package? We have notā¦ Weāve received one from every college that my student was accepted into, except BUā¦

Has anyone received a financial aid update. Ours still doesnāt show FAFSA received. Cutting it close to the deadline. I know other schools have received it.
Nothing yet! And no word from the school about an extending the SIR deadline.

Yes I phoned last week and was told they had not received it yet and we could fill out an appeal form but she did not email it to me. Feel like choices are being taken out of our hands.
spoke with FA office yesterday and was told decisions will be made prior to May 1

Wouldnāt be surprised to get it April 30. There has also be no mention of extending the date. All I was told was to fill out an appeal
