does anyone know the acceptance rate for transfer last year? do you think it will go up, down or stay the same for this year?
Were the decisions released on Saturday?? Someone claims on reddit people got decisions on Saturday
The acceptance rate was high for transfers last year (50%ish) I heard, BUT we cannot forget that the acceptance rate includes spring transfers, who mostly get accepted (if they meet the requirements)!
If they were, none of us got a decision so we don’t know
i think it also includes guranteed transfer, which obviously they’re an automatic in
No wisdom here, but as a parent who has witnessed this process at length (both of my kids transferred)… I think each admissions officer has reviewed, vetted and assigned a ranking to all apps in their grouping based on major. Perhaps there are different GPA requirements based on department and competition within that major. Then decisions are released on an auto-generated basis based on parameters matched in an algorithm. Meaning, once an existing student officially withdraws or a “transferee” officially declines, an “accepted” transfer student gets a spot…again, based on major…
