No actually the optional vid was after you submit…like it was on the portal for like 10 days after the application deadline. I had a fairly easy question and messed it up.

I personally think they just care if you did it…and came across as a normal person and not a try-hard. My sibling got in a few years ago and hers was pretty stupid. Lol But they later mentioned they thought she was nice.

My D24 is certain she will NOT get in since her response was (in her mind) a bust.
My kid got in last year and it was not anything to write home about. I agree they just want to see that you want to come and put a face to the application.

My son interviewed so he did not do the video hope this wasn’t a mistake. So many details with college admissions. Good luck to everyone!
