No, kids where I live just brag about going to church and their parents’ money.
The smart kids don’t brag.
A guy in my school bragged in the fall about how nice it was going to be when he could spread out all of his acceptance letters (Ivies and all) in the spring. Another person said she could have gotten into any Ivy she wanted to, if she had applied.
Smile politely in public and laugh at them in private.

It’s hard to differentiate between ambitious ones and braggy bunch but usually people hate both types because they remind them of their own shortcomings.
Soon they will be out of your life, especially if you avoid reunions. I might be inclined to laugh out loud, but would probably looked at them with gracious snake eyes. My thought–uh huh. Isn’t whatever maybe paired with gracious snake eyes appropriate. Or you could quote the Cheshire Cat saying, “And who are you?” and fade to those snake eyes.
