For size 00/0 (24/25) and extra length (but very expensive) try True Religion. You can get great deals at Nordstrom Rack… well $99 instead of $300! Used to be able to get them at TJMaxx but I haven’t seen them around here for awhile. They are D2’s favorite jeans. She also likes Hudson and Armani Exchange. She likes expensive jeans because she can find her tiny size but she keeps them for years. She still has jeans from middle school that fit! :o

My son has this problem, huge muscular thighs, so if we get jeans to fit his thighs they fall
of his rear and waist, if they fit his waist and rear they are too tight for his thighs. We’ve never found a really good solution…anyone know about guys jeans?

Jeans cost that much at Buckle?!!! Are you serious?!

(sorry, give me a pair of Levis and I’m totally happy, so I can’t vouch for much more than that)

srw: my son the cyclist (as oppposed to my daughter the cyclist wears rei’s rock climbing pants rather than jeans.

I was computing a bit over $100 a pair, 4 pair per girl, two girls.

I’m not big on government mandates, but there ought to be a law requiring any clothing manufacturer who uses any term followed by the words “fit” or “cut” to post an explanation on the label and a website.

What the heck are “modern fit” pants? How in the world is anybody supposed to decipher a dozen different “fits” of jeans from a single manufacturer?

It’s crazy.

dmd, I looked on their site. Saw lots of pants but couldn’t identify any one as “rock climbing pants”. Any other specifics in the name? Thanks

DD is an Irish dancer and has large muscular thighs (most people assume she’s a gymnast). She wears Aeropostale jeans. At $20 on sale, these fit her legs and my budget!

srw: these are they: [Gramicci Mountain Jeans - Men’s 32’’ Inseam at REI.com](http://www.rei.com/product/771204)

My older D is a former rhythmnic gymnast–tall/long legs and muscular. She’s worn Lucy Brand jeans and also likes Christopher Blue. I never heard of Buckle and just googled it–New England seems to be the only region without a Buckle store.

dmd, thanks! They look good!

**Relaxed fit **sits at the natural waist, has straight legs, and extra room in the seat and thighs.

Regular fit sits at the natural waist, has straight legs, and a bit less room in the seat and thighs, but still generously cut.

Original fit is cut trimmer in the seat and thighs.

Slim fit is for skinny guys, tight in the seat and thighs.

Loose fit is like relaxed with room in the seat and thighs, but with a lo-cut waist (I suppose to hitch under a big fat guy’s beer gut?)

If he’s lookin’ for standard jeans, rather than designer jeans, WalMart stocks Wranglers in all sizes and lengths in both the regular fit and the relaxed fit. I would buy a pair of each in the correct waist and length, bring them home, and have him try them on at home. Just keep the receipt and return either or both pair. Once he gets a handle on “fit” that works for him, he can translate that into the various options from other jeans companies. They might have differed terminology, but the basic options will be the same. I’m guessing that “regular fit” might do the trick. Relaxed fit would accommodate an NFL linebacker’s thighs.

The other thing to watch for is that jeans either have a “natural waist” or “low-cut” (aka hip-huggers). One or the other will be comfortable and the other will probably not.

Another vote for Lucky jeans for ballet dancing daughter. She just bought a pair today that retail for $100.00 for $30.00 at the store. She is in heaven.

S has opposite problem than the one given. Thighs and butt always swim. Levis make many cuts, and we found 28’s at Macy’s. They were very reasonable too.

Another vote for Lucky jeans. D just lost a huge amount of weight but still pretty muscular thighs from lots of walking. Lots of washes, inseams, cuts…great salespeople. She also found a nice pair at Madewell.

Shhhh…my daughter found some excellent jeans at the thrift store, but I’m not supposed to tell anybody.

Joes Honey Booty - nothing else comes close for my petite daughter with the self-proclaimed “thunder thighs”. Expensive, but I just found a pair for under $50 at Anthropologie. She has found a couple of used pairs at Platos Closet as well (gotta take them up though)…

Well, we found jeans for both Ds at Buckle…expensive, but they’re very happy. No luck with younger D at Lucky at all…I think she was just between sizes. (Plus, they were too plain for her.)

Thanks everyone for the help.

Bahhh. This problem has plagued me like no other. I rowed during high school, so my thigh muscles were manly. I’m 5’11", too, so jeans were near IMPOSSIBLE to find. Seven (the cheap ones) and Calvin Klein were okay, but the CKs were normally too short. I could only wear them if I had boots, but they looked really good, so it was okay. I know a lot of girls who actually wore guy’s jeans. Baggy jeans were kind of in style where I lived, so they were perfect. They were also cheaper and a zillion times more comfortable.

I’ve also found really great jeans at Goodwill and other thrift shops. Not only are they super inexpensive, but they’re already worn in, so they have a totally different fit than the ones in the store. I’ve found Lucky, Buckle, True Religion, Rock and Republic… all for under $10!

Never heard of these jeans, but apparently Buckle carries them, and they come in athletic, curvier cut:

[Silver Jeans’ flattering cuts and affordable price tag are a perfect fit](http://www.nwsource.com/shopping/fashion/silver-jeans-flattering-cuts-and-affordable-price-tag-perfect-fit?cmpid=2628)

And under $100.

Never heard of Buckie, must be an east coast thing? We’ve had good luck with several of the Victoria Secret catalog jeans, and they come in many lengths. D and I both have muscular thighs, and they come in many different lengths. Try the “Hipster.” BTW, sale going on right now on jeans.
