DD has luck at New York and Company. And as odd as it sounds the new jeggings do fit a muscular leg.

I never heard of it either and when I googled it I found that there are stores in almost every part of the US (41 states)–looks like everywhere except the New England region. There is a Buckle website that has lots of jeans, but jeans might be one of the few things I probably wouldn’t order online, unless I had tried them on at some point and knew what I was getting.

The thing about Buckle is that they have an extremely well trained sales staff…and they hire hot young guys to wait on the teen girls, which is brilliant! If you’re 14 and some hot 20 year old guy brings you something that he says he thinks you’d look good in, don’t you know you just lap it up?! But it’s not just a sales job - they know their jeans and how they fit and they do bring things that the girls look good in. (Contrast with Lucky, where the jeans were about as expensive, and the 40 year old sales lady kept bringing the 14 year old mom-ish looking jeans, none of which fit.)

And the Buckle staff works on commission! ;)

When I was younger, I used to sort of be afraid of commissioned sales people. But it’s sometimes nicer to have someone who wants to sell you something, than all the folks who can’t be bothered to even get you a dressing room and don’t care if you buy anything or not.

Buckle has been written up in the WSJ as a really good retailer and a hot stock.

What a novel concept for a business…making more money by providing excellent customer service!

The HS kids around here play a game called “The Buckle” at the Mall of America. They enter the store and try to get to the rear of the store and back out as quickly as possible without a sales person stopping them and asking them if they can help. If you can get out of the store without them talking to you , you win!

LOL, NM. ON the other hand, I was able to go into an absolutely empty Banana Repulic, look at everything on the women’s side, try on two things and leave while walking by four employees without anyone speaking to me. What do I win?
