Bravo's Project Runway, 2019 - One day you're in...

I really liked his work, especially the two gowns he made with off the shoulder flouncy things (one about Baltimore with the faces on the body and the other also a feathery thing.

I could live without Hester and her cartoon styling.

I think Sebastian will win walking away. He really is fantastic.

I agree they really didn’t have a choice, but it was sad. He had to be a little relieved because he was two outfits short and then he said he could re-do this challenge and produce his vision of a three piece outfit if he was put through. He was such a gracious loser though. I really like him and I wish he could have finished with looks he felt good about.

I realized watching this episode that Christian has grown on me. He’s gives some good advise and he’s honest. He’s had a tough act to follow.

@csfmap - said the same thing to my daughter about Christian last night. At first I felt as though he was trying too hard to be the “new Tim Gunn” - but he is very good at helping the designers when they are “stuck”, and seems to be finding his way. Karlie Kloss, on the other hand, has not grown on me…

I love Christian. I loved him when he was on PR and I love what he has done as a designer.

I think he’s really good as a mentor. He comes across as caring but also gives really good advice. He’s in their corner without being only a cheerleader. He pushes the designers to do better.

If Sebastian doesn’t win, I have no idea what the judges are thinking. Hester has an unique style and her stuff can be great in a quirky colorful way. But this collection that we’ve seen from Sebastian, swoon. I thought the judges seemed blown away by what they saw.

I was also impressed by Christian’s mentoring. He came through with instant, very practical, very impactful advice to designers needing a bit of help.

Sebastian rocks. A mature designer, more a doer than a talker, multi talented and humble. A rare combination.

Until recently, I thought that Garo was the front runner but Sebastian’s collection is stunning. The judges collectives jaws all dropped during his portion of the runway show.

I was very sad for Bishme but it did seem like he was overwhelmed–a death in the family, his sister’s diagnosis, all while trying to make this collection. It is too bad because as Nina said when looking through his portfolio he did have some showstoppers already created. I really hope they invite him back in a future season because I enjoyed his personality and his work and think he has a lot of potential.

Of the three who are left I think it will be between Hester and Sebastian (so very different!) and Sebastian will win.

Sebastian is likely to take the prize, however, even though Hester’s not “my” type of designer, there is a real place in fashion for her style. She’s unique and refreshing (from a fashion standpoint). I wept for Bishme, really. Poor thing was just finding his stride when life stepped in. I also hope he gets invited back. Not thrilled with Garo’s collection, it really feels dated to me. The leather work of Sebastian’s IS breathtaking and the orange “gown” was a showstopper in a very refined way.

I’ll be happy with any of them winning.

BTW does anyone listen to the podcast The Workroom? I discovered it early in this season. It’s not designers, but artists who discuss (at length) each episode. They tend to point out things I hadn’t noticed and are very easy to listen to. It’s not a polished podcast, but it’s good, and I enjoy listening to them hash out the episodes. I often find myself rewatching episodes after listening in.

Thanks for the podcast recommendation @JustaMom. And I agree with your other statements

I’m going to have to catch up on this show before the finale. Thursdays have not been good for TV watching be lately. I enjoy reading the updates here but don’t want a spoiler this week.

Just finished watching this week’s show. Agree with everything already said. And Sebastian is a trained ballet dancer! Wow.

Although with his accent, I thought he said “belly dancer” at first.

As this month is the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, it’s fitting that this is the first season (AFAIK) that all the finalists are LGBTQ.

Just bringing this up to remind people this is final 3

Thanks for the reminder.

I think they got it right!

Hmm I’m not convinced they got it right!

We predicted this ending. I hope DVF meant it when she said she’d be a mentor for ————- Also, when ———- couldn’t get a dress to fit the model, he could have replaced with the winning dress.

I didn’t watch the show but I saw this article in the local newspaper this morning and thought you all might be interested.

Pats mom, I wish we could go meet him. I’d love for him to make me a dress for son’s wedding.

I actually liked Garo’s designs the best last night, but agree they weren’t finished well and didn’t fit as well. I didn’t like Hester’s line at all.
