Breaking Bad

DocT, so sorry for your loss.

My family finally started watching it after too many good friends begged us to. We just finished season 1 so we are racing to get all of them done so we might actually catch up before this season. I am taping it just in case.

Doc t very sorry to read about your son. This show does not glorify drugs- the story arc is how the main character has “sold his soul” to the devil-
Perhaps you’d find HBOs The Newsroom more appealing right now.
Personally, I resisted this show for years due to the subject matter and thought our society has sunk to new lows, but the show clearly depicts the horrors of meth addiction and the drug industry

DocT, I am so very sorry to hear about your son. I can’t imagine the heartbreak that goes along with losing a child.

DocT, SJchessmom, gave a good explanation of the show, but if I were in your shoes, I probably wouldn’t watch it. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your son.

How did the bodyguard miss the bomb? We think he wasn’t looking for bombs as much as wire taps since Tio had just gone to the DEA. But, yeah, it looked pretty out of place on the wheelchair. Biggest employee mistake ever.

“This show does not glorify drugs- the story arc is how the main character has “sold his soul” to the devil-”

For some people, selling your soul is a glorification of drugs. Those like my son, who chemically alter drugs to skirt the legal system (including disclaimers such as not for human or animal consumption) and sell them online only get ideas on doing this kind of business without considering the ramifications of what they are doing to themselves or others.

Doc t- truly heartbreaking post, with sincere sympathy regarding your loss.

I’m so sorry to hear about your son, DocT. I can only imagine the heartbreak.

So sorry for your loss, DocT. I can only imagine what a shock and loss this must be for you, family and friends.

I’ve tried multiple times to get into Breaking Bad, and it just doesn’t work with me–and I usually like complex dramas. Blasphemous, I know. ;)
