Is anyone else excited about the new season starting on Sunday, the 15th? Four out of five people in my family have watched the first four seasons (well, almost all of four) and I’m very much looking forward to the new one. We did the first three on Netflix and are finishing up season 4 on Apple TV.

I wasn’t sure at first that I would like this series because of the violence, but the writing is so good that I just cover my eyes for the scary/icky parts.

I got my son a Los Pollos Hermanos t-shirt that I’m going to surprise him with! I had a hard time choosing between that and a Better Call Saul one. Saul is probably my favorite character.

LOVE Breaking Bad - husband and I are both chemists (but of the legal variety). I really like how Walt’s character has evolved from Season One, even though I’m not a big fan of the person he has become.

Where did you get the Los Pollos Hermanos t-shirt? I have a daughter who would love that!

We’re excited here, too. I confess that last summer we passed through Albuquerque and took a short tour of Breaking Bad sites. And I cover my eyes sometimes, too. But we love it.

In season one, when they went into significant detail into how they made the meth, I couldn’t help but think “Who thought of this first?”. It was such a complex mix of chemicals and process. I’m sure it’s evolved over time. And I guess it’s not much different than figuring out how to make alcoholic drinks, but still.

If I mix all these chemicals in the right sequence, heat it at the right times, etc. I get this crystal. Then I can smoke it, liquefy and inject it, …

All that said. Love the show. I’m guessing Walt has to get his this season…. All the ads point to his new found hubris. “I am the one who knocks!”

LOVE this show…DS and I are both huge fans…for about a month he’s been saying “Only 28 more days!” “Only 19 more days!” “Only 7 more days!” It’s like he’s 5 years old again waiting for Santa :)

Another huge fan here! Since Mad Men’s season ended, I’ve been desperate for a great Sunday night option (and boy, was The Newsroom NOT it). I actually hooked my 20-something son (who’s never taken any other TV or movie recommendation from me) on Breaking Bad by getting him to watch the first episode–which I think is one of the best hours of television ever made. I’m only sad that there are just 16 more episodes to go, spread out over two summers. What will we watch in 2014???

I love the details of the show too - Marie who always wear/buys/decorates with purple, Jesse and his “yo’s and b*****s”, Skylar and her own breaking bad lies, even how they made Gus sort of understandable.

MommaJ, you might try ‘Longmire’ … it comes on Sunday nights, I think (we record everything and watch later, so you might want to check your TV listings). It’s a series about a sheriff (widower) in Wyoming and his three deputies, his adult daughter, and his Native American friend. DH and I like it.

And Netflix just added season four yesterday ! Don’t know how anyone could come into this “world” without the back story and watching walt’s arc-
Can someone explain something in the final episode is season 4- stunning show? How is it Gus and bodyguard did not see the very visible bomb on the whelk chair? I know the bodyguard checked the room prior, but the thing was just so visible?

I’ve never watched this show. I hope it is different than the casual look I had of the plot. My 28 year old son died three weeks ago from a “legal” drug that he manufactured at his “legal” drug company.
