S24 just submitted the video introduction. That was a really interesting exercise!
Attempts at something more carefully planned and semi-scripted were not working, so we talked about how he is good in live interviews and why, and then he did just one take of a much more spontaneous, conversational video that I think actually reflected his personality and thought process.
Obviously there is no knowing what will happen, but I think it was a good learning experience regardless.

When do we expect decisons to come out this year?
I believe March 28 (aka Ivy Day for 2024).
my IDOC was just requested… does this mean anything?

Sounds like some sort of error in their system. You might want to reach out to make sure they understand you are not applying for aid.

Brown just announced they also will require test scores next year. Would that have changed anyone’s decision to apply? Honestly a little surprised to see Brown going that way. Makes me think most selective schools will if not all. My DS is annoyed that they didn’t require them this year lol

Ours was too. We are applying for aid. I called iDoc because I had a notice that a school might want more documents and our dashboard was clear. They just said Brown was doing an upload on the account and nothing was needed. I don’t think it means anything.

Hopefully they will put more weight on test scores this year when making admission decisions. I also hope other top schools also to do so.
My guess is they will not so much change policies as just keep doing what they were doing behind the scenes that ended up advantaging high test scorers anyway.

Hm… so did everyone receive one? I personally think my stats/ecs/essays/video were strong, but idk. i thought it was indicative. can everyone that received one/didnt receive an idoc request in march reply to this?

We received an IDOC request in mid November (about a month after my student applied ED.) She was deferred. We applied for aid and filled out the CSS profile. I have never heard of anyone receiving an IDOC request who did not fill out a CSS. You could call the fin aid office and ask?
What does your guys’ financial aid portal have? Ours have tax returns and CSS. Just wondering if anyone else has tax returns (dated as submitted 3/6)
Just CSS and FAFSA, just submitted the CSS last week.
Just CSS and Non-Custodial Parent Waiver. As you can tell by my username I’m international- so no FASFA.
