@hopeful1929 I believe email was on 4/26, then checklist disappeared 4/29, and decisions were out on 5/2.
Seems that after the email goes out things move pretty quickly.

What do you guys see in the financial aid requirements item list? I see css, idoc, parent and student tax returns and so on, in total of 7 documents satisfied.
Also, does brown show in your idoc account as institution requesting docs?
@fratributle 8 stuff in my requirements list with css and idoc stuff; yup Brown shows up on my “institution requesting docs”
I have a total of 6 documents in the financial aid checklist, however, Brown doesn’t show up on my “institutions requesting documents” (IDOC). Is it a bad sign that brown doest show up on IDOC? I emailed them the documents required in late february (they told me they couldn’t match my CSS profile and they asked me to send them the financial aid documents. by email)
I have 12 documents in total for my financial aid checklist, Majority of the extra documents are in regards to my appeal for the non custodial parent. All of them are satisfied (except for a pending document – the NC parent profile). I believe the are currently reviewing it. I can’t check IDOC right now because they’re under maintenance. Once I can log in then I’ll state whether the status for brown is requesting or not. But I recall not seeing that in past times I’ve logged in.
just checked and it looks like brown is in my “institutions requesting documents” but on the financial aid checklist i only see fafsa and css. i’m guessing then brown might request documents from everyone on idoc and people who they want to continue preparing financial aid packets from will have the extra documents as a requirement on the brown financial aid checklist. this is just a thought though. anyways wishing the best to everyone! good luck!
Not sure about that. I didn’t apply for FA but I know that when I was applying to schools for freshman year, IDOC requested documents from me even though I was rejected. And yeah, of course, wishing good luck to everyone!
Does anyone still have the option to withdraw on their portal?
No I don’t think anyone does???
It’s been gone for me almost a week now
My option to withdraw is gone as of today.
Hmm I wonder if it means anything why some people’s went away Today vs others last week?
@av0cado7 I have been assuming that it disappears once a decision has been made on your application, making the withdrawal pointless.
Perhaps more people’s are disappearing because they are close to reviewing all the applications.
Oof that makes me nervous! I wonder why so many of us got it all at once, hopefully not rejections.
they probably dont telegraph like that. it’s likely that we’ll get a few acceptances from last week – I doubt they accept most people after April 24th, a week or so before decisions regularly come out.
can you elaborate on why you think so? @chaoticcalm
yeah so I was looking through Brown University acceptance threads and cross-referencing it with when the “option-to-withdraw” was removed. how I did the latter was that I hacked the satellites in the pentagon and sent corrupted radio signals to the ad-com’s phones. then, I mined information relating to our applications.
no, like everyone else until decisions are released, I am wildly speculating.
Hello! First time posting, good to know I’m in good company while anxiously awaiting early May-- congrats to those who have already been accepted elsewhere! Good luck everyone ??
Just out of curiosity, what concentrations did you all apply for? My first choice was environmental studies and second choice was international and public affairs.
Just admitted to UCLA—waiting on Brown now, and hopefully decisions will come soon. I applied to music as my first choice concentration and literary arts as my second.
Do you think concentrations matter in decisions? Like would they admit students based on the number of their existing pool of students with the same concentration?
