@sjshah not even a direct program, since all they guarantee is a TCMC interview. They haven’t even had anyone matriculate to the med school yet. I also have 2 years worth of college transfer credit that they’re not going to take, so I’m not even considering it.

It’s still a good way to get your foot in the door. I would still consider if depending on where you get accepted UG. You are right, for a program with that many pitfalls, ivy league or another school might be very hard to pass up for USciences. But, I wouldn’t completely get rid of that option just yet. Are you still planning to attend the interview?

KLM congrats on the scholarship. Everything happens for our own good. Lets see what is in store for everyone in a few weeks when all decisions wind up.

Thanks guys.

Singer info came through yesterday by email for March 1st week end attendees (25 winners out of 75 attendees). UM is giving out $4000 coral grant for all attendees even if you don’t win Singer.

Anyway my D won’t go to UM if they don’t offer HPME. Fingers crossed

@sanguinee. I am really sorry for you.

You will be a Doctor because you got lot of interest in medicine.

@sanguinee, I am really sorry to hear that you applied to 15 direct BS/MD programs but did not get into them. This really showed how competitive BS/MD programs are. I hope you also applied to other colleges and have some good options going. Keep up posted.
My son is a high school junior and interested in premed. Recently, he is expressed more interests in the BS/MD programs. I realize how competitive BS/MD programs are. I would like to see sanguine and/or others posting your stats and schools of acceptance/rejections so DS can determine whether he has a chance in BS/MD programs.

@4beardolls I suggest you check out the BS/MD Results thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/multiple-degree-programs/1451896-bs-md-results-class-2013-a.html). People are posting stats and outcomes (rejection, interview/rejection, acceptance) on there
good luck

saxplayer - it would be nice if people actually post their stats. I don’t see a single entry with stats other than the sample one.

Agree with @Texaspg. It would definitely help if we have some stats and results in the 2013 results thread.

I apologize
it could be because not all decisions are out. I know I will be posting stats and results once everything is released

Any one notice change of status in MyPenn State?

yes. My D

@matrix007: Yes, my D saw a change in posting at Penn State. Indicates you will be notified soon

yes, our status also changed!

between albany and jefferson which one is better?

This is what my status says: “We are in the final stages of review and an admissions decision will be posted here in the coming days.”

Is this what everyone else has?

@cc_mom Many people posted stats in the beginning pages. For example, I believe I posted my stats on 27. Everybody will repost everything, hopefully in a template, when everything is done in the Results thread.

Did anybody get an interview with Stony Brook? I just got an email for next Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday in the morning. SO EXCITED!

Btw BombingRange- how many schools did you get into so far. I hope your first choice accepts you.

First choice is Stony Brook Engineeing Scholars for Medicine. I am only in Brooklyn BA/MD.

any clue when drexel or lehigh come out?
