@OhioParent558- I am more inclined to Doctor than Dentist- But Doctors have a long way to go go- Education + Residency whereas in Dental- residencies may not be required.
@Midhelper: The result came when UPENN came at the end of last month along with other Ivys.
@Late2Party: I am not near Stanford geographically. I am on East Coast. I agree that I will have to rough it out to get again into Medical school after 4 or 5 years. Presently I am pretty sure (>80%) of taking Physician as my career. I think Miami needs average MCAT of previous normal class intake- but I will check. It is expensive than U Cincinnati though for me as I have full ride for UG Cincinnati. But Yes, I should look at the best program if the costs are reasonable.
Thanks to all for your comments and guidance.

Full ride at Cincinnati? Then isn’t the decision that much easier?

Full ride + no penalty for applying out (I believe) = no brainer for U Cincinnati !!!
Congrats !

I believe MiamiDAP 's daughter was able to get into Case Med without jeopardizing her seat at U Cincinnati.

@certaindr

RPI/AMC decision will come out either tomorrow or Monday. Good luck!

@sagsabzi1 Yes upstream is correct, check with MiamiDAP, her D went to UConn and they had a really good experience with it. She is very helpful in sharing information.

Any advice to select one of the following: BU SMED (no scholarship) vs CincinnatiDAP (full ride)?

deglu67, BU SMED if you can afford it.

Just wondering if anyone has updates about NJMS? We have only seen one acceptance (@starlight27). Anyone else received any calls from either TCNJ or NJIT?

accepted TCNJ/Rutgers, Stevens/Rutgers

I just received an email from NJIT acknowledging my rejection from the program and offering to forward my application to the SGU program.

My D received Rutgers/NJMS via email today. The letter says that 41 students were accepted into the program. That was the only NJMS program she had applied to.

@IMGDAD my D is very upset to hear that. she has one more bs/md program she is waiting on for decisions. but umsi was her top choice by far. we will stay on the waiting list in hopes of there being a change in the 8 yr streak this yr. it’s very strange that for 8 years straight everyone accepted has attended - have they only accepted people from lubbock? I’d imagine those who were accepted have other options as well…

Hi, I have my UCSD Med Scholars interview this Saturday; the format is MMI (Multiple Mini Interview). I’ve never encountered such a format, do you guys have any tips/advice or prior experience to relay? Thanks!

@AspiringStudent Why would you want to go the UCSD Med Scholars program if you only want to get into Alpert Medical School? Wouldn’t it be better just to attend an Ivy League? -_-.

My S got a rejection from NJIT as well, with wording similar to that of @thejerseygirl. With this rejection, pretty much the 7 year BS/MD program is bye/bye for my S. Good luck to all of you who got into the accelerated program. I wish you all the very best! :)

@houstonrep, I am sorry that I upset your daughter with my posting. I was just conveying what we were told at the interview day by one of the admissions offices (the one with the hispanic name, I am sorry but I cannot remember her name anymore) when I specifically asked her about waitlist. I must admit I was surprised too but that was what she said. Good luck to your daughter but my son is moving on.

@IMGDAD no no, don’t be sorry! I appreciate that you gave us this heads up, so she won’t have her hopes up. Congratulations to your son and I wish the best for him!
