@Starlight, oh, nice surprise since you have so many options. How do I find you? Should I hold a magazine in my hand? haha, just kidding. I wear a brown leather jacket over a grey shirt today, black pants.

@CAJ2014, we will have chance to meet in the future.

@class1417- shoot, didn’t see this till just now!! Literally minutes after the bs/md session. Shucks. Hopeful we cross paths again! I’ll keep my eyes out for you!

Numbers regarding Drexel/Drexel:
More than 3900 students applied (that is a lot), 700 were forwarded to medical school, 128 interviewed, 77 accepted. For the accepted students, average GPA is 3.96, average SAT 1529, up from 3.90/1495 they posted in website (I guess that was last year’s number).

PM: it looks I earned PM privilege, it says I have two messages, but I click inbox, I only see one. Maybe someone sent me message before I was allowed to PM? Sorry if that was the case, I hate to be rude…

Is anyone here waiting to hear back from the University of Pittsburgh about GA Med Program decisions? I think decisions last year came out on Monday of the second week of April (which is tomorrow)!! Does anyone know a specific date for decisions this year?!

I was looking over the math list for Northwestern’s Feinberg medical school, and I wanted to get possibly some other doctor’s opinions about Feinberg. More specifically, I want to go into ophthamology, so how would Feinberg medical school rank here? Would it be better or worse than Brown’s Alpert Medical school? Thanks!

In my opinion, Feinberg > Alpert. Below are the match lists for Alpert and then the ophthalmology for Feinberg. I spotted two ophthalmology matches at Alpert for 2014 data, and four at Feinberg for 2013. Incidentally, I was thinking about ophthalmology as an option for NU HPME too… let’s see how I feel in 7 years though :)

@eastcoast96, I’m also waiting to hear from upitt-gap program. I don’t see nor I have heard about any specific date for the announcement of decisions.

WeisCool…I am not sure that limited sample supports your Feinberg opinion…By the way, the MIAMI Institute is considered the #1 OPH program . There are so many variables that come into play, both a reflection of the individual AND of the Med School, that it is tough to make a strong argument for either program…methinxxxxx :-/
