*** BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2014***

Did anyone hear from Northwestern this week about interviews, rejections or acceptances?

Did anybody got interview for UT PRIME.How is this programme ;what about the chance of getting into the programme.please share your information.

@sadfeet - My friend heard this week about the interview on the 5th like I said before. So it is not over yet…

That is rare, most students are placed UC = under consideration.Congratulations to him!!!

@starlight27, thanks!

has someone called hpme today to ask…?

My son got accepted into RPI/AMC. How would you compare this program with SBU/GW and Hofstra BS/MD programs?

I called them yesterday but they did not pick up so I left a voicemail but they have not returned it yet.

@nexus55 when did he go for his interview? Congratulations!! Sorry I have no way to compare the different programs you are asking about maybe others can help. My D is in the RPI/AMC program right now and she is very happy

@midhelper: my pal’s letter

CONGRATULATIONS!

I am pleased to tell you that you have been accepted into the Albany Medical College/Union College Leadership in Medicine Program. Acceptance correspondence from Albany Medical College and Union College will be mailed to you. We are looking forward to having you join the Union College and Albany Medical College communities.

Sincerely,

Donald D. Pritchett, Jr., M.S., J.D

Turnaround can be quite FAST…my pal interviewed Union/AMC on Monday 2/24 and was accepted on Thursday 2/27(3 days)…so yes, depending upon institution and how they rank applicants post-interview, it can be quick. He was caught off-guard, although pleased, certainly, that he was accepted in 72 hours.

Nice!!!

I know a girl who was accepted this week also at Union/AMC - five day turnaround.

ooooo so many in the hiding. Dang I wonder how many spots are left for those of us still to interview…yikes.

Congratulations to everyone who made it to BS/MD programs. Has anyone heard from Saint Louis University on their Medical Scholars Program?

@midhelper: AMC explanation to applicants was that the committee meets on every Wednesday to rank the applicants that were interviewed the previous Friday/Monday. The very high ranked students are offered acceptance within days and most others kept in “under consideration” to allow them to compete with applicants interviewed in subsequent weeks. A handful are rejected as they apparently do not rank a competitive score(whatever criteria/scoring that might reflect) and thus not carried forward. This gives competitive applicants a “fair” chance to remain in the chase weeks after their interview, until the class is filled…there is a waiting list until all acceptances matriculate.

great thank you @dumich that is exactly how I remember it from 2 years ago so they are following the same procedures. Just 2 years ago the response time was more like 1 month but interview was in beginning of feb so I guess with this year’s delays that more people are finding out sooner.

@starlight27 How long was your NJMS interview? I thought my interview should have been longer. And do you know when decisions come out for NJMS?

My D’s interview was barely 30 min at AMC and she was accepted - the length of the interview doesn’t matter.

When do these programs generally notify applicants? Towards the end of march or beginning?
