Has anyone received the acceptance letter by snail mail?
@indecisive19 I have.
Does anyone know if its worth paying for, and attending, the orientation? I don’t want it to interrupt my Track & Field schedule. Also does anything of high importance really happen at the reception? Turns out I missed that too ;))
@MagicMasala Orientation is required and will be billed on your fall semester bill.
@MagicMasala do you mean the open house, not the orientation?
@dkdkdkzz I did mean the orientation. Anyhow, thanks @TomSrOfBoston
My daughter just committed to BU last night. She is so excited. She had a great visit 2 weekends ago at the Com school’s admitted student day. Planning to study Advertising. She has met a ton of students on various facebook sites and really feels like BU students are her people.
hi just curious, but how much financial aid did you guys receive - if I may ask?
@ VanillaIce- we do not qualify for financial aid and our daughter did not receive merit aid at BU. We have been saving for many years and told our kids that we would cover the bill for their undergraduate degree. The next two years will be tight as we have an older son at Lehigh but we are committed to our agreement.
Is there a CC forum for those who have committed (paid their deposit), and/or one for admitted students?
Has anyone been able to register for orientation? I set up my BU email a bit ago per their link, but when I hit the register link it says my account lacks the appropriate authorization. Did I miss something? Do I have to do something else? Thanks.
Nah @fingerscrossed40 I just registered
@fingerscrossed40 my daughter had the same problem yesterday signing up for orientation. She called the IT help line and they resent the link to open up your BU email account. They send you a link after you pay the deposit but we she couldn’t find the link. You need a new id and password for the orientation sign up not the one you used to apply. She was able to sign up for orientation after that. I think this is the ID and password you will use your 4 years at BU.
Anyone know if BU is accepting people from the waitlist this year?
