Bucknell, Lafayette, Lehigh, Trinity, Grinnell and Franklin & Marshall

Hi Guys!

I have applied to the list of universities and colleges mentioned above for Fall 2015 (I do have safetys as well).
I do not have very good grades. I create music, precisely instrumentals using Digital Audio Workstations (Pretty much like a DJ). I have sent some of my samples as Arts Supplements to the above mentioned ā€œdestinationsā€ (Accepting ones) and I was wondering if those instrumentals could uplift my chances of being accepted into the universities. I believe I have good recommendations and not bad ECAs. However, I couldn’t perform quite well in SAT though I appeared for it twice. I have posted my grades and my SAT Scores, please let me know what my chances are.

ā€˜A’ Level:
Maths: A
General Paper: a (1st year only)
Physics: B
Biology: B
Chemistry :C (Unluckily 69 both years!)

SAT:
Critical Reading: 580
Maths: 700
Writing: 630

I increased 140 since the last time I had appeared for the SAT.

SATII:
I am appearing for SATII tomorrow. I hope I do well.

I have sent some instrumentals and I am relying on it, along with my essays and my recommendations, to uplift my SAT scores and High School Grades. I know these universities are very competitive and mostly students scoring above +2000 get admitted. However, I thought of giving it a shot believing on the ā€œholistic way of looking into applicationā€.

I know it’ll be really really competitive since most of the students applying to these colleges, most from Nepal itself, have really good scores in both SAT and their High School.

I am planning to pay $9 - $13k per year if I get enrolled (Well! That’s what I’ve mentioned in both Certiifcate of Finance and CSS profile)

I’d be happy to hear stories of Nepalese students getting to US Colleges through extra-curricular as well and not only grades.

Thanks!

P.S. I wanted to know if the Grades from Class IX and X matter. I have good ones in them. 84 % and 89.5%.

I don’t know about your chances; I’m no expert on college admissions, but just wanted to tell you we’ve got Bucknell, Lafayette, Grinnell and Trinity in common.
