So sorry to hear that BayAreaCAMom - good luck to your daughter with deciding on all of her other choices.

thanks soonempty nester.......she is very bummed

we actually thought she had a very good shot at getting in. Her stats are right at the median of the Business "accepted" last year, so guess it was a lot harder this year.
have actually been thinking the past few days, though, that since they notified some on the waitlist, that it probably meant she was going to be rejected

fortunately, she has been accepted to 5 wonderful (albeit private, and expensive!) schools that she will consider, once she moves on past Cal Poly. I do believe that these things do work out in the end, though. :)

good luck everyone!

I agree BayAreaCAMom - that your daughter's stats were excellent -- and others who were accepted were not as good so I don't really understand the rhyme or reason behind Cal Poly's scoring. Great that she has 5 other choices - she is obviously a very bright student and in a great position as she has many other options to consider.

3.45 GPA

Completed everything but commercial law. I am kinda surprised!

I am a transfer as well. I completed all the necessary classes and have a 3.92 GPA. I was rejected; I don't really know what else I could have done.

wow what the heck, even with that gpa? supposedly they only accepted like 30 something people out of a thousand for transfers

wow that's surprising, where did you hear that? I think we just picked the wrong year to transfer because every school is having financial problems; the state of California is just a mess.

I was also rejected as a business transfer. It was expected because I didn't complete two of the prereqs. hotshotxx, I'm really surprised you didn't get in!

Bus Admin transfer
4.0 GPA
Missing two prereqs

Has Cal Poly business always been this hard to transfer into? Is it because of the budget cuts this year? Also, are they waitlisting any transfers or is that just for the freshmen?
