By the lack of activity on this board,

I get the impression there is a pretty active social scene at F&M. D went back for an overnight with an athletic team and was taken to several parties. Her host went to a fraternity formal that same night. One of my D’s high school classmates had an athletic overnight for a different sport and was also taken to parties. As far as Lancaster goes, it has a vibrant, thriving downtown with lots of interesting shops, galleries, restaurants, etc. It is not adjacent to campus but it seemed to me the town offered a lot more than many of the very small towns that liberal arts colleges tend to be located in.
