Applying to College Common and Coalition Application

<p>When I was looking around the Common App a long time ago I noticed there was a choice to select “Parent” as a type of account.</p>

<p>But I haven’t found anything specific on what that means.</p>

<p>The CA Help search was of no help.</p>

<p>Would my account get tied to my D?</p>

<p>She has already started and I don’t want to mess anything up.</p>

<p>It’s absolutely fine to create an account for yourself to help your student through the process. There is a place when setting up the account to identify yourself as a student or not. Your account will not impact your student’s application at all.</p>
