mine still says no determination for biological sciences, I have 3.91 CSU GPA and 28 ACT…since i haven’t been waitlisted and my stats are kind of low should i just assume i will be rejected??

waitlisted for political science… 4.0 weighted gpa, 3.56 unweighted (probably about a 3.5 for csu gpa) and a 1340 SAT score!!
@Americanoplease when you submitted your application doesn’t matter. your major is just super competitive and they can’t garuntee you a spot yet.

i’m not too keen on getting into cal poly but it would be very nice to! my portal still says the same thing—no determination made. it seems like everyone who got accepted got accepted on march 1-2. should i assume i got rejected? or i might be put on the waitlist soon or what?

@Slushcan then how if they have tons of applications and only look at MCA (which is test scores and gpa and points for ECs) can some get in with lesser stats than others? It doesn’t make sense. Is it subjective once they calculate MCA scores who they want to let in …like some higher MCAs, some lower, etc to have well rounded? It doesn’t really make sense.
Waitlisted for CS… 34 ACT and 4.2 Cal Poly GPA.
I wish I could change my major and be reconsidered for a different one since cs is so impacted this year.
I turned in my application on November 29 too but got accepted anyways so I don’t think the date matters.
This probably sounds crazy to all of you, I’m shocked myself because I got into Cal Poly SLO with a 3.7 CSU GPA with a 1200 SAT (620 on Reading and 580 on Math) for Political Science. Is this normal? I didn’t think Cal poly accepted kids with such low stats
I feel like Cal Poly does not accept overqualified applicants. If you see those who got accepted and those who got waitlisted, the waitlisted applicants have way higher stats in average than those who got in. I got waitlisted for aerospace engineering last night.
