@teachmama2 She will.
CPP is coming out, CSULB is coming out and SLO should soon. Still none have determined whether I’m in or out

Maintenance tonight, routine weekly maintenance is normal, but last week only the poly planner was getting updated. This week poly planner and Peoplesoft (Student and HR Admin) is being updated. Perhaps this is an update to prepare for an influx of accepted students tomorrow?
My daughter was accepted for engineering at CPP, waiting for SLO and the UCs she applied to
Remember your Cal Poly GPA is your academic classes for the first 6 semesters: four points for an A, three points for a B and a maximum of 8 weighting points. So a kid who took 5 academic classes a semester for 6 semesters and got all A’s with at least 8 weighted classes would have:
(30 x 4 + 8) / 30 = 4.26
That’s close to as high as you can get in their system unless you had a large proportion of non academic classes.
they’re out.

Are you OOS?
@atodefdj Relax, just a joke. Look closely at his list of EC’s
That was funny lol
Hi I don’t know if this is a dumb question or not, but on my application status there is a box for credential name that doesn’t have anything in the box beneath it. Is this normal?
@VickiSoCal my comment about capping the cal poly gpa was that of capping the gpa at 4.2 when calculating their MCA score.
@idkdude Idk the purpose of that box but it is blank for me as well.
@idkdude my daughter’s is the same. it’s normal
thank you, I was so worried @teachmama2 @nemohq16
@idkdude @teachmama2 @nemohq16 When my son was admitted to Cal Poly Pomona, the credential name box was filled in with “Provisional Admit.” Before he was admitted, it was blank.
@teachmama2 I think a LOT of people misunderstand the capping of the GPA.
My daughter had a lot more than 8 weighted classes. She had 7 B’s. Her school had her GPA at somewhere around 4.5
I think some people are taking that 4.5 and capping it at 4.2
But her actual Cal Poly GPA is much lower.
(244 + 73 + 8)/31 = 4.03
@VickiSoCal The MCA still caps GPA points at 2250 though, correct?
Yes. My D has a 4.85 weighted gpa, but a CP Gpa of 4.13…then you take that number and multiply it by the multiplier to get your total…my D doesn’t get the full 2250 points.
For most students you need to get all A’s to cap at a 4.20. Even a single B will drop most applicants below the 4.20 cap.
