Sounds like some people have received admissions today…Do you think they will continue through the weekend?
OK so I have a question after reading through this thread. When you look at the average test score and gpa for a school in general, is that usually of those admitted or those who actually decide to attend?
@Caligirl24 - Average test scores and gpa would be for those who actually enroll/attend the school.
@Luthien I think those are people that got in yesterday and are just now noticing or posting late because Cal Poly never posts acceptances on weekends.
Do you think the majority of bio sci acceptances are out? I’ve only seen a few on here. I’m just really stressed out because I’m still waiting, and the way SLO is releasing their acceptances is agonizing!!
In state, 2.91 uw, 3.29 w, 1350 sat, conditionally accepted for city and regional planning. idk how
Both my girls got in late yesterday (Business) – I am OVER THE MOON that they will be going to SLO together ;

4.13 GPA weighted, 1390 SAT, applied to business admin but still haven’t heard anything? Do they take into account that I came from a small low-end school or does that hurt me? Also, I’m assuming chances of them continuing acceptances for that major is small :/? Hopefully they still do…
D has MCA of approx 4300+ and a few in-state have announced their acceptance for CE a couple of days ago, is it safe (or sad) to say she’s not in? Portal is still not updated.
If I’m in state and haven’t gotten admitted (communications major) is it safe to assume I’m not accepted? I have a 33 ACT and 4.1W GPA (3.8UW) so I assumed I’d have a good shot but I don’t know anymore!
If I have not gotten an acceptance for cs yet for OOS, does that mean that most likely I will not get in?

I checked late last night, and I got an email this morning.
I got into engineering with a 3.86 calpoly GPA (low becuz honors classes limit, actual weighted GPA is like 4.2ish)
and a 1490 SAT score (perfect math).
@musicbooksfilm I definetely think if I got in, you will get in.
I applied to CS with a capped GPA for Cal Polys system… it was a 4.3 and a 1200 SAT?
I am in the same boat but for instate and think we can probably assume we didn’t get in. I don’t see any reason they would release the same major but at a later time.
@ninehazard yeah, I am just wondering when we will get some sort of notification. My friend applied to something in the liberal arts category and found out yesterday morning that she got in. We are both OOS.
@ninehazard unless they just are just doing the highest starting and then going down the list, you guys may have different MCA scores
@ninehazard, @musicbooksfilm, @bugsy1112 - I don’t think anyone should assume they didn’t get in. My daughter is still waiting to hear for ME and she has excellent stats (exceed minimums for major). There are several people who have posted excellent stats that are still waiting as well. No rejections have been handed out to my knowledge. The previous years they do all of the acceptances, then the waitlists, then the rejections. No one has posted “waitlisted”, so I think it is safe to assume they are still working on distributing the acceptances. Hang in there!
