@Gomez28 Do you mind posting your stats? No one around here has heard from Ag yet. Curious if my kid has a shot. I do think the top kids have heard, but Cal Poly will keep notifying kids so keep your hopes up if you haven’t heard yet. I was agribusiness years ago- great major, great teachers, great overall business education. Huge business opportunities - esp. in CA.
I was accepted yesterday afternoon for in state biological sciences.
My S17 just heard back - admitted to COE in Mechanical Engineering. He has 35 ACT, 1570 SAT, 4.6 weighted/3.96 unweighted GPA, a number of AP courses and scored 5’s on the 5 AP tests taken so far. Now to see what scholarships if any will come his way (we are in an odd status on residency as we are in the process of moving to California (have a house, will have worked and been a resident of the state for over a year) but he will graduate from his high school in IL in May…will have to work with the schools on residency status).
Just waiting to hear back from 2 more UC schools and then decision time.
I am an instate bio major waiting on a decision as well
@oreocookiessss stats?
Given last year’s over-enrollment fiasco and the announcements that this year’s incoming freshman class would be smaller than usual, maybe CP is trying to calibrate their acceptance offers and hit the yield target exactly. Also, they have that new fee structure in place for OOS students, so they’re not certain how it might change the OOS yield. Consequently, it would make sense that CP would send offers in waves, waiting to see how many decline (and therefore how many spaces are still available) and then sending out more offers as the data becomes clearer. Perhaps this year will have a larger than usual waitlist cohort so they avoid all possibility of a repeat of 2017. Or I could just be blowing smoke because I’m nervous. Son is hoping for Biochem and has an MCA of 4864, SAT 1420, ACT 31M 31E, capped CP GPA of 4.2 (weighted 4.62) and we are still waiting to hear.
Does anyone know which majors still have to come out?
Instate forestry and natural resources major here. Beginning to lose hope
anyone know if the majority of Ag majors were already released or if there are any more to come?
Still waiting. Not sure if I should lose hope.

Instate S accepted into Comp Sci. Received email notification last night at 5:40 pm.
3.88 UW; 4.42 CSU.
Composite 35 ACT.
Are there still decisions left to be released? I know two high stat friends who haven’t gotten word yet, and it’s hard to imagine them being rejected/waitlisted. Surely there is still a wave or two of decisions coming out next week right?
@calpolyalum Next up for acceptances are the transfers which usually go out on Monday. The waitlist and denials are after that.
@CentralCoaster Sorry, but how do you know that transfers will go on Monday, and that there are no more RD acceptances? Are you affiliated with Cal Poly?
@centralcoaster - Are you implying that they are finished with acceptances? I was thinking that because so many well qualified applicants with high stats still haven’t heard yet that they were not finished with the admission acceptances. Do you disagree?
@centralcoaster unless you have specific inside information please be more thoughtful in your assumptions as there are many anxious folks here. It will play out and we will all know more by end of next week
I have seen ME accept, but no Aerospace accepts on this thread…in state LA son with leadership, GPA 4.3W, 3.7UW 35 ACT with 36 science, 35 Math…still waiting, hoping for waitlist. Remember students closest to the school have priority. Being in LA, we do not. We heard from Cal Poly Pomona first week of Feb…accepted.
@MamaLlama27 - We are also in So Cal (OC). I had not heard that there was priority to people based on how close they were to the school. Will you please tell me where you heard that? My daughter is still waiting for ME with a 34 ACT and GPA W4.5.
I have a question;
If my friend got in for gender studies (he was joking), and somehow got in, can he swithc to engineering?

what are your stats?
