@crystallight The school will eventually verify her transcript if she is accepted, but the acceptance decision is based on her reported grades. You can contact the admissions office, but I believe it’s too late to change. If she gets denied, you could include the extra year of math in an appeal, as it would give her a higher score to be considered.
i’m guessing they haven’t been released. Four people from my school got accepted last Friday for other majors @college107 @VpVpVp0307
My son is also waiting on Economics.
Still waiting but staying hopeful! [-O<
In-state biochemistry
GPA: 4.08
ACT: 30
good luck to those waiting… I feel you.
@crystallight - CLDMom’s response makes a lot of sense. You can also try to ask your question on this thread. The person (‘Sally’) there is very familiar with the admission process and she’s been very helpful.
@KES2022, I don’t know if this has been replied to yet, but those are normal scores for CS. They have been that high for several years. The fact that CP is a Cal State has zero bearing. SOME majors are as difficult to get into as the most difficult admits. That certainly includes CS.
@nerdgirl97, I would not assume high stats students would automatically choose a UC. My high stats son, now a Senior in ME, didn’t even apply to any of the UCs. He had no interest in giant classes with labs taught by TAs.
@KES2022, It is indeed possible that the mean scores for CS are at least close to 35/1550. The mean for the whole CENG was 32/1467 last year and that includes multiple majors that are not selective at all. I can guarantee there will be no students admitted to CS without STELLAR stats unless they have non-academic MCA adders (service area, Hayden Partner, etc.).
Having watched these threads for several years D 2014, S 2016, S 2018, the stats are not surprising to me. Our local high school has many college bound kids, but seem to not have success at UCs for engineering. Top students are often shutout. Our top students typical vie for CP SLO for the reasons eyemgh describes.
I was accepted for agriculture business. does anyone know when they are accepting more people?
@hoppyclassof22 I am waiting for instate biochem too! my mom’s best friend is a cal poly parent and says that on their “parent Facebook page” or whatever you call it, they have said that very few biochem acceptances have been send out, and that there should be more coming!
so probably more on thursday/friday like last week? i’ve only seen one acceptance in my major
@Coopy1 @msingh9001 no i got it Saturday.
I got in for economics on March 1st
Checked my application page and it says I submitted it on 12/04 rather then 11/30. Does that make any significance? Has anyone experienced this as well?
@Tepiru what are your stats?
I haven’t received a decision for political science and noticed a few others have. Am I pretty much done for?
@magkj My D was accepted to Biochemistry. In state and on the first wave of announcements.
Judging from everyone’s comments, it looks like nothing was sent out yesterday. Has anyone heard anything to the contrary?
I’ve also seen the same thing and also wondering if anyone has heard anything, even waitlists…
