So if people are getting waitlisted does that mean acceptances are officially over?
so now we can infer that acceptances are done? cuz why else would they release waitlist
@Gumbymom As you know, the waitlist stats for 2017 were very low because of an unexpectedly high yield from the general acceptances. I would expect Cal Poly to look a lot more like 2015’s waitlist numbers this year — they’re being very cautious not to overenroll, so using the waitlisting mechanism much more than in prior years.
@chicalmom Do you mind sharing your Daughter’s stats? I am an Architecture major with no determination still.

@CLDMom: I agree with your statement, that is why I posted 4 years worth of statistical data so applicants can see the variation from year to year. I also agree that SLO is being cautious this year due to the over enrollment.

I still have nothing on my portal soooo does that mean a rejection? My CSU gpa was 4.3 and my act score was 28 so I thought I would have had something by now

All these high stat, in-state kids getting waitlisted is really ridiculous. How is it that kids with max rigor, 97th - 99th percentile standardized tests, and straight A’s not get in? That’s not right. SLO should be a safety for these kids.
Waiting for Business Admin here - MCA 4650, GPA 4.2W, 3.8UW and SAT 1490. Doesn’t look hopeful any more.
Is this right? Waitlist determination is not until May 15? Well after the May 1 SIR deadline for most colleges? Brutal! I understand why people refer to being waitlisted as admissions purgatory!

my friend who has as high stats, if not higher got into aerospace engineering and i got in with a very good act and gpa, so i have no clue why cal poly is waitlisting all these kids

Son just checked his portal and still no update. He’s in state applying for Business. I"m curious if you think it’s a good sign that he was not waitlisted, or does that indicate he will probably be rejected? Or is it all just a guessing game at this point?
