Should I be concerned that my app says it was received on 12/4 but I have confirmation from 11/30?
OOS waitlisted for ME. CP GPA 4.13, SAT 1420 (750 math), max rigor with Calc BC completed in 11th grade (AP score 5) and Calc 3 senior year. MCA calculated at 4730. Max EC’s with leadership, work experience in major (6-18 hours per year). So who knows what will come…anyone have any experience with the waitlist??

@nontent The only comfort I can add is that if your UC GPA really is 4.55 you have a lot of great school left to release there acceptances. Is it possible you had a lesser Freshman year. Since they count it at CP it could have worked against you. The good news is at UC’s it won’t.

@CopperlineX2 I have no doubt that the CS major has significantly lower acceptance rate than SLO’s overall acceptance rate, but just curious where did you get the 7%? Is that SLO’s estimate or someone else’s?

My D got wait listed for Biomedical Engineering with a 4654 MCA score had a 32 ACT 1430 Sat and a 4.25 Cal Poly GPA. also work and extra circulars and 2 yrs extra math. Just hoping she gets an acceptance off wait List.
Did anyone hear anything with the computer engineering major? I haven’t heard anything yet.
Anyone know the statistics on the waitlist acceptances? I’m sure it changes every year (especially this year), but just curious.
My freshman year was all As so unfortunately I don’t think that influenced it. I do appreciate the kind words. Cal Poly would be better for me compared to other schools though, since I could afford it without placing too much strain on my parents.
@stresseddaddy I checked out those sections as you recommended, and I either met all required years or surpassed them (the ones I surpassed were 8.5 years for math, 4.5 for history, 4 for science, 4 for foreign language, 2 for college-prep elective). It says my calculated GPA is 4.1 in the same section. I reported the highest categories of hours spent on ECs.

I’m really confused, someone said they were waitlisted for Psychology but I haven’t seen any acceptances for Psychology yet?! Does anyone know if acceptances for Psychology have been released yet? I have been following this thread very carefully and now i’m just worried!

no no no, per some SLO parents in this thread, it’s a reach school for kids with stats like your son, everyone got accepted to SLO CS needs at least 5.0 GPA and 36 ACT.
