Wrote about how my grades couldāve been better since I was going through some challenges during that time, then wrote about my extracurriculars and my passion for engineering and how they linked to each other.

Hi! Iām a CM major. I was put on the waitlist and was rejected on July 15th. I was super angry about the situation but decided to write an appeal and send it THAT day. I wrote very passionately about how my grades werenāt exceptional but my leadership and attributes as a person would make me an outstanding student at Cal Poly. I also mentioned if I was accepted I would 100% go there. I was not a straight A student but I did go to a rigorous private school in SoCal. I thought nothing would come from this. I didnāt even expect a response. I had even committed to another school and started working on my plan to go somewhere else
However, yesterday I got accepted through the appeal for my major and Iāll be going to slo in the fall!

Have you gotten access to your housing portal? Or your classes?
Housing opened today, probably being exempt from orientation and no news about classes etc.
No classes, housing opened though. I think once we submit the housing application and they confirm our transcripts everything should open.
