for me i got an email saying that my status was updated. it gives u a button to click and from there it takes u to ur portal login. then you can click and see ur status

My son got the final rejection today.
D24 got off the waitlist 7/15 for computer science. Had accepted UCSC BSCS with merit scholarship but is seriously considering changing to Cal Poly SLO. 10 days to accept.
4.0 unweighted GPA

I am currently anxiously waiting Cal Polys response but I was wondering if anyone had any insight. Does anyone know if they possibly have some wiggle room within their rescind policy? Below is my current situation.
I was just admitted off the waitlist as an Environmental Engineering major. During fall of 2023, I took ASL 1 virtually at a local community college and unfortunately did not pass the class and ended with a final grade of an “F”. The class was not used to fulfill any A-G or elective classes, I took the class because I wanted to learn more about the language.
There were changes made by the professor at the last minute in the semester which led to me and many other students in the class to not pass. I emailed the CC to request to change the grade due to the circumstances but in the end it was the professor who administered the change and he declined my request. This grade does not reflect my academic performance as I have excelled in school throughout high school as well as within college level courses, I recently received my AP scores as well and passed both exams I had taken.
It would be best to talk to Cal Poly admissions since they will handle this on a case by case basis. That said, regardless if it was not a required a-g course, all courses are subject to the conditions of admission by passing them with a C grade or higher.
I would definitely go into detail about the last minute change made by the professor. Good luck and please update once you get your decision from Cal Poly.
My son got off the waitlist on 7/15 for Microbiology. He was notified by email, but he was traveling and didn’t open it. He will decline as he has committed to studying abroad, and the appeal of an international environment outweighs his major of choice.

My son was admitted off the waitlist for Physics in the last couple of weeks (I just found out yesterday). He declined as he’s already committed to UCSC and excited to go there.

I was rejected on 7/15 but wrote an appeal. Any idea when they will get back to me? Did anyone else write an appeal after getting rejected off the waitlist?
Just got appeal accepted today 8/6/2024!!! Can’t believe it!!!
