Yes, “BY” is correct but as I stated it has always been by April 1 since I started researching the application process with my kids in 2012.
I know besides SDSU, there are still some CSU’s that have not posted all decisions and some students still waiting. Cal Poly Pomona is one example whom started posting decisions in February.
Yes, I did not mean to imply that it was only CP and SDSU who trickled out decisions, but these are the 2 we’ve had this experience with, several times.
SLO will send the denials at the end. I know SDSU has already denied some applicants along with Cal Poly Pomona.
The Cal states do their own thing when it comes to admission decisions so it is hard to generalize. That is why I started keeping track of when decisions were posted for the top CSU’s which are SLO and SDSU.
Curious what school do you attend or at least what county is it in? I would think they are letting in a fair amount of people from your school if someone from SLO is coming out to talk to who was admitted.
Thank you Gumbymom for all your words of wisdom. I’ve learned much from you the past 4 years and appreciate your posts and insights. Currently have two mustangs D26 Bus Admin and S27 Materials Engin. and anxiously awaiting decision for our last student. No matter what happens I feel confident she will end up in the right place and know that she gave it her best chance regardless of outcome. Cal Poly Slo has been an amazing experience for two of our kids and I know there are so many other wonderful schools out there, so to all the other families anxiously waiting I truly believe our kids will end up being where they need to be for reasons unbeknownst to us. Good luck to everyone and all the best to your child(ren)!
Hmmm, I see changes in the portal that weren’t there earlier today. If you look at the Student Center ->Admissions → Application Status, the content seems to have changed. Look different for anyone else?
I think he is referring to another way to see the status, which is separate from the applicant portal. Not sure if anything has changed but the portal itself hasn’t.
I’ve been hearing some news on Reddit about potentially SLO coming out tomorrow in the massive UC decision bubble with a bunch of other OOS decisions both private and other out-of-state publics. Would be great and I’ll keep my eyes out for SLO with my other decisions. Hopefully, we can get the decision this week.
