S25 hasn’t heard anything from SLO so assumed WL or R.
He is gutted after getting rejections from UCSD and UCI an hour before. UCSD/SLO/UCSB are his targets. Rough day for the kid after all his friends with similar GPA and several less are faring better. One friend in the same HS got into the same major at SLO with 3.70 capped and low rigor.

Different schools have different admission criteria so no way to predict anyone’s chances. You have some great options and you will end up where you are meant to be.
seeing so many comments about denials and waitlist if not in this first wave.. There have to be some admits after this.
Any one heard about Business major
Yes, there has been some admits after the initial admit wave but historically not many in comparison. That is why I tried very hard to keep track of the SLO timeline.
No Decision means No Decision.
Again, I am not trying to be a “Debbie downer” but this issue comes up every year and I am not sure if it is better to give false hope or tell it like it is and then have some very angry and frustrated students/parents vent on this discussion thread.
This is my decision data timeline for the last 3 years and of course SLO can change it up anytime.

Thank you for all your information, it is so kind that you have taken the time to go through it all. Really quick- does the portal update trigger an email notifying you that there has been a change. We received emails about “updates” from UCI(Accepted) and UCSD(Rejected). Just holding out hope that there might be a chance with SLO.
