I learned the current Open House (10/11/12 April) is only for College Of Agriculture, and other colleges will notify admitted candidates via email for their respective open house.
yes she got rejected i’ll try to get a screen shot but she’s pretty upset so i don’t want to bother her

She got rejected by SLO today?
This is such a non-conventional way to notify the applicant.. I mean almost crazy. So it looks like they sprinkle rejects, admissions in between waitlists so far. And for those kids whose status lists them as awaiting (like my son) … it’s a wild card in suspense.

The open house in April is for all admits and waitlisted applicants, all majors.
truly, i am also awaiting and it is just awful. seems so unorderly and almost mean.

My daughter’s portal is also still “Awaiting Decision”. Is it possible they’re waiting to see how many offers are accepted from the “first wave”?
So if your status shows waiting as of now, it’s likely you’ll get a rejection next week?

Based on historical data yes, the chances are slimmer but there are always some admits that trickle out between waves. So do not give up until you get a decision.

I still have awaiting decision. I’ve been so anxious these past two weeks and it looks like I’ll still be anxious for a third. I’m just so tired and done, it feels mean at this point. Just tell me I’m rejected instead of dragging it out.

I saw someone on Reddit also received a rejection letter from SLO.
ETA- rejection was for Mechanical Engineering
