Anyone out there hear about kinesiology?
Mine hasn’t gotten one either. (Architecture OOS) Just checked portal and student center and no answer there.
Her boyfriend did get an email and was accepted (OOS Mech Engineering).
Hope this isn’t a bad sign.

It is actually Industrial Technology and Packaging. My son is a 3rd year in this major. Great major (combo engineering and business). Small cohort that really work together and professors are very intertwined in the industry. Lots of lab classes.

is it waves by major? college? or js random?
From our experience with SLO admissions in 2024. Acceptances roll out first, followed by waitlists a week later and finally rejections. I did not hear of any acceptances rolling out after the first wave that year but that may be different this year

They used to release by major but haven’t done that for a couple of years.
If anyone is curious if someone from their major has been accepted, you can use the magnifying glass on the top right to search for your major in this thread.
@tamagotchi Congratulations! I know she was interested in Davis. SLO and Davis tend to attract the same type of student.

A classmate of my DD heard she’s accepted for political science. Meanwhile, my DD, also applying for poly sci still has application in pending status. So, I don’t think they’re releasing all decisions at once for each major. Not sure if lag implies my DD is getting waitlisted or rejected – or has no actual implication.

Ok, after searching this website for two years, looking at the MCA calculator, going to SLO for a tour and talking to admissions officers - I think what really helped is the 5 years of math AND 5 years of English. Per SLO, one summer class of English (son took Creative Writing) equals 1 year of English! Son did not want to take a massive amount of AP during junior year even though we are in crazy Bay Area!

other schools accepted: UCR, UC Merced, SDSU, SJSU, CSULB, Sonoma State, UCSC.
Waitlisted: UC Davis (son doesn’t care now and will not opt in)
Waiting on all other UC’s.

The Architecture admits did not post if they are IS or OOS but several OOS admits for other majors.
