Cal Poly SLO Transfer Discussion Thread for Fall 2024

Also CS with no updates so far.

Yeah I haven’t seen or heard anything about any psych info either. It is the most impacted program though so if acceptances did already get sent out it could just be that so few people got in that there aren’t any who felt like posting about it. Hard to know, just have to keep waiting. Good luck!

Does CalPoly send admissions out in the weekend? Also from the cal poly admissions insta page, there will be more admission rolling out until the 1st but did not specify if that is both waitlist, acceptance or rejections.

In general, no decisions posted on the weekends but there is always a chance they will do something different.

They always state more decisions will be posting until April 1 but will not specify what kind of decisions. Since waitlists and denials have not yet posted, yes more decisions are coming.

Hi there–has anyone received heard anything about Art Majors? Have decisions been sent out?

Anyone heard anything?

Nothing heard yet still

We have not yet heard anything
we thought these stats would be enough for a good chance at admission as a transfer student. Assuming at this point its either going to be a waitlist notification or won’t be accepted.

Did the community college offer an AS-T degree for Engineering?
Regardless, Cal Poly’s Engineering program is extremely competitive & highly sought after.

No there wasn’t an AS-T degree for engineering offered at our local community college. Just sharing my son’s stats and our status to provide information for future applicants.

I was wondering if there are any other transfers who got accepted for kinesiology. I haven’t seen anything from anybody talking about it.

Cal Poly Open House 2024

Those Accepted —
Cal Poly’s Open House is April 12, 13, 15.
The link above tells you what it’s about.

It’s not required - It’s basically for those undecided. Others who know you’re committing, you’ll learn things about Cal Poly but you won’t miss anything if you don’t go.

Hey! I need to make corrections to my fafsa, and when i do, my SAI will go from like 28,000 or whatever to -1500 because im a dependent of my broke mom and not my moneybags dad. Was just wondering if theres any chance that when i make those changes i could be put in cal poly scholars or if all those spots are taken?

That’s something only Cal Poly Scholars can answer.

Don’t ask if you can appeal because that will give them an out to say no.
Instead, tell them you have “new and compelling” information that has substantially changed your life circumstances and you would like a re-evaluation due to the "new and compelling changes.

You must use the phrase “new and compelling.”
