California Job Placement?

I’m looking into colleges to transfer to and UVA is one of the two places I’ve narrowed it down to. Since applying to transfer is a really stressful process, I just wanted to be really sure I’m doing the right thing. I just wanted to ask if anyone knew how good UVA’s placement is for cities like Los Angeles (or SoCal in general)? From what I have heard, their recruiting and job placement for cities like DC is amazing but I’m not sure about Southern California. California colleges would all be wayyyy too expensive for me and UVA seems like an amazing college that (according to their net price calculator) would also be within my reach financially. I’m an econ major and currently attend a sub-100 ranked university in the mountain west.

California is a popular destination for UVA grads and I am aware of a strong alumni presence in the LA area. The career center staff is used to helping students interested in jobs out of state, California included. I think you would be just fine here.

Years ago, a friend moved to work in San Diego. She said many employers in S. California liked to hire graduates of east coast universities because they felt they worked harder. She said too many of her fellow employees left the office whenever the surfing was good.
