At this point, all portals looks the same, itās fixed. The only thing that indicates the acceptance is the gmail, I didnāt get the gmail so Iām fully prepared for a rejection/waitlist.

I think that is why others suspect it is an indication of acceptance. Caltech might have added those newly accepted ones in the email list

When do they drop the decisions? Is it California time or Central Time
yes we basically are rejected. why bother opening them atp.
but for ppl who saw both the banners disappearing, it basically means rejection right? since they fixed the portal issue, now everyone can see the banner tho

It will be my first rejection/waitlist experience in the application season, so it will be truely meaningful 
I guess unless you checked yesterday, otherwise you canāt tell the difference now.

yeh i checked it last night, both the banners went for 10 mins and then came back. everyone says thats a rejection
I havenāt had any issues with banner and upload section. Still, I havenāt got an email list, so maybe only this matters and it is rejection

same even i didnt get an upload section, but i saw the banners going away for 10 mins
Perhaps everyone had the portal glitch? I didnāt have the Beaver for DAYS before it reappeared this morning.
How long from now is the decision release? So we can congratulate our friends from this thread who got in
its at 10 am PST. So in 2 hours 40 minutes.
I actually checked at the moment when the first messages from my friends about banners appeared, I had nothing and I have checked like every 10 minutes, but no difference
