What are some schools that have beautiful wooded, forest-like campuses?

Duke is the only school I have visited that gave off a foresty vibe.

Any others… (Universities and LACs)

UC Santa Cruz

I second UC Santa Cruz. I was amazed at the campus and loved the town of Santa Cruz- too bad it’s so darn expensive OOS!

The two schools that come to mind are UC Santa Cruz and Humboldt State University, also in California.

Sewanee- University of the South is very nestled

Skidmore is nestled.

Michigan State University
Woods, country, city, suburban… have it all.

I thought Dartmouth, Cornell, Williams, Colgate all felt more surrounded by forest than Duke did.

Berry College - it is the largest college campus in the world, and most of it is woods, including a 16,000-acre wildlife management area.

Va Tech, Western Carolina

Babson College

Hobart & William Smith Colleges. Oddly, Lake Forest College is not.

University of Richmond is in a way…

I’m a UCSC grad and I thought it was the most beautiful campus in the world until I saw Wellesley.

The University of Notre Dame has lots of trees, and situated on a lake side.

williams .

The entire campus of Swarthmore is an arboretum. It is beautiful.

Swarthmore seemed isolated in the woods. It’s also part of an Arboretum.

Being so rural in forested upstate New York, Hamilton is very nestled. Students see deer, etc., just feet from some of their dorm rooms. I would imagine Colgate, Williams, and several others are similar, though I haven’t seen them.

american university has a foresty, naturey feel
