Can guys wear totes?

Tote bags? i saw this cool looking tote bag that had a manly design on it (not flowers and such), and i was wondering if men can wear “man purses” sort to speak.

Have you ever seen it? (on a non-homosexual person)

For the love of god, just wear a backpack. If Nike doesn’t make one, then a man shouldn’t wear one :)

No. Don’t wear a backpack either, those things are butt ugly. Man bags are preferable.

(doesn’t have to be Prada of course)

edit:
actually can you link a photo?

totes hurt my shoulders.

but they’re a little bit more on the feminine side  [the totes]…so

you can wear manbags…

stick with backbacks.

seriously, don’t wear totes :)

^^Man bags are sooo cute for guys lol
@OP: totes are…no

[/female]

I dunno…I think it depends on if the man bag matches the guy’s personality. I have seen a couple of guys with them and it is kind of a turn on.

Why not go with something like Tom Hansen’s bag from 500 Days? [For Men: Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s messenger bag from 500 Days of Summer - Wearability.us](http://wearability.posterous.com/for-men-joseph-gordon-levitts-messenger-bag-f)
I’d say…sure. Go for it! I tried to get my ex-boyfriend to dress more well-put-together; if you’re willing to do that then more power to you!

no. just no. stick to a man-bag or a backpack.

Or you could just not leave your house and thus eliminate the need for a tote/backpack like me.

hahahahaha
being cute again

No.

Real men carry their belongings in their arms and never ever drop anything on the ground.

Like hobbithill said, do you have a picture of it?

It really does depend on the bag AND the guy. “Man purses” (I hate using that term since it usually has a negative connotation… but I don’t know what else to call them right now) look alright on some guys, but it really just depends on what the bag actually looks like and what the guy’s style usually is. Tom Hansen’s bag (the one vertigo posted) seems more like the middle ground between a normal backpack and a man purse.

Those pics of bags are purses. Man purses. Not bags. Unmanly. Real men carry stuff by hand. All in one go.

No, people only have tote bags in like asian countries.

Yes, OP, I am afraid that men are allowed wear tote bags.

The most a man can carry outside of school is one of those string bags.

IMO, he’s the only guy to ever pull it off

i couldn’t find a specific picture of it, but the design is like this but with different graphics on the front:

[ONLY NY | STORE | Misc | Always Down Uptown Tote](http://www.onlynylives.com/item/always-down-uptown-tote--black)

Oh Jesus no.

Well, it really depends on how hipster one is willing to go. Dark-rimmed glasses and the man bag might be * too * much. But a healthy dose of JGL’s style in 500 Days would be my ideal guy. I basically try to convert all of my guy friends into JGL in 500 Days (“wouldn’t a sweater vest be nice??”). It never works.

No one’s gaydar would be able to withstand such a frightening titanic overload. You would be better off burning all totes so as not to be tempted by any of them again.

And messenger bags are out too. Get a backpack, and after college, get a briefcase.
