Can I Change my Mind to Graduate Early?

Hello!

I recently have had a revelation 2 months before I’m supposed to graduate that maybe I don’t want to graduate early anymore. I currently am a 16 year old high school student in California who is set to graduate this year. I applied to colleges already and did the fafsa and was even a Questbridge Finalist (however I didn’t get into any schools lol). I realized what I probably will do is go to community college after high school anyways however my high school also offers dual enrollment anyways so I really don’t know what I want to do anymore regarding a major. I realized if I stay another year I could take more of my schools offered band classes as well as take more dual enrollment classes to get a grasp of what I want to do for a future career. Anyways is it possible to change my mind about graduating early this late into the year; even though I don’t necessarily need to graduate as I am still technically a junior. I already applied for financial aid and colleges so I don’t know how that would affect me in the future. Thank you for reading!

You need to talk to the folks at your high school about this.

It makes perfect sense : why pay for CC classes when you can be dual enrolled and take them for free?
Plus you take a few classes to explore new subjects and continue with band.
Plus you get another chance at taking the SAT/ACT, can reapply to QB and a new list of colleges…
Win-win.
Contact your school ASAP though, only they would be able to tell you what you need to do to continue as a senior. (It’s probably purely administrative nut none of us would lnow, only your specific school administration).

You should be able to stay for another year. Why not do that, and apply again through Questbridge?
