<p>I was wondering if for a nutrition major, or any major in general if there’s any high intensity apps we need to be able to run on our computers, or if all we really need is a computer that can handle word and internet browsing. I ask this because I have a powerbook g4 that only has 867 mb of ram and a 1.3 ghz processor. Will I be able to get by with this? For what I use it for in high school now it works perfectly. It would be really nice not to have to spend 1200 on a new computer…</p>
<p>I would e-mail your department. There are also a lot of computers available on campus for students use. If you do end up buying a computer, look into the El Corral store because they have some student deals.</p>
<p>Increase your RAM and you should be fine.</p>
