I have a really low GPA and SAT scores.

well depending on what you define as low, i’d say no

My GPA is 4.7 and I got a 1900 on the SAT… It’s sucks to be a failure. @weeknd

Are you being serious?

I feel like a failure compared to other people’s stats. Even my parents call me a failure

Well.

If you think like a failure.
Act like a failure.
Sound like a failure.
Then you are.

Change your mindset and other’s perception of you will change.

4.7 and a 1900? You might as well quit now, the future’s looking dim, sweetheart. How about you try to get rid of that inferiority complex of yours and realize that a very, very small segment of the population who uses this website isn’t the standard to which you should compare yourself. Know who you are and what you’re capable of, and then look at your accomplishments in that context.

Yes, for christs sake stop comparing yourself to people on CC. I went into a depression because of it before I realized that CC is the top .001% of our students. I got a 1900 my first time, and a 2030 the second time, and I’m going to be applying to Stanford and Amherst, with high hopes. Just relax. Colleges, with the exception of Caltech/MIT, look at so much more than your SAT, and I’m not just being cliche. The one kid that got accepted to Stanford this year from my ghetto school had a 1900ish SAT, and his EC’s consisted of Band and a couple clubs. It’s about your character, man, not your stats. You have to show colleges you have drive, and you have dreams. Moping around CC won’t get you either, so shut up and go read a good book, go for a hike, go volunteer somewhere, get a job, watch a good movie, and enjoy your high school years.

Well, that’s just blatantly false.

Reality check, the average sat score is around 1500 (out of 2400 obviously) so you’re not a failure. Don’t be so down on yourself.

Are you kidding me? They would take you for your stats!! But they would sure as heck turn you away for that “I’m a failure” attitude. Besides, you didn’t give us enough info to chance you properly anyway…

What’s a 4.7 GPA?

You can easily get in… Open one of the doors to the college.

Obvious ■■■■■ is obvious. It’s not even in the right forum.
