I know enlisted CAN but can officers also be rescue swimmers?

and if not, what are the reqs for helo pilot? please include height reqs.

I would like to the know the answer to this question for certain also. I did some research a couple months back, and found out that you could not. Really dissapointed, and hope my sources were incorrect.

Rescue swimmers are strictly enlisted. Officers can be helo pilots…most are in fact. Don’t have height regs sorry.

thanks. I’ve found all the height reqs for navy (my school) but the girl friend is interested in coast guard aviation and thinking about uscga. she’s 5’1 and about 115 lbs and wants to fly more than anything. the navy reqs say she must be 5’2 and then fit the anthropometric models but i still cannot find any coast guard data.

dritchey,

Because all Coast Guard pilots go through Navy flight training in Pensacola, Florida, they must meet Navy requirements. You may be able to find a waiver for her height if she does not meet the requirement.
